2019년과 2020년에 같은 이름의 연작으로 두 곡을 썼다. 그 곡들에서 반복은 들어야 할 대상이 아니라 곡을 짓는 도구였고, 관심은 무엇이 반복으로 인지되는가, 그리고 파편이 다시 돌아올 때 그 종지가 어떻게 달라지는가에 있었다. 최근 두 곡을 다시 분석했고, 이 작품으로 그 연작을 리부트한다.
ripresa는 이탈리아어에서 내려놓았던 것을 다시 집어 드는 일을 가리키는 일상어다. 이 작품에서도 파편은 돌아오고, 돌아올 때마다 다르게 닫힌다.

In 2019 and 2020 I wrote two pieces in a series of the same name. In them, repetition was not the thing to listen to but a means of building the piece. What interested me was what makes something register as repetition, and how the cadence of a fragment changes when it returns. I recently analyzed the two pieces again, and with this work I reboot the series.
In Italian, ripresa is an everyday word for picking up again what has been set down. In this work, too, fragments return, and each time they close differently.
