Born in 1998. Seeking a listening experience that begins with music itself and expands toward a sense of presence, real-time processes, and the workings of space. Centered on a methodology of stripping historical context from fragments of the past to reconstruct the present, examining how direct and explicit elements act on audience cognition, and pursuing self-referential structures through which a work becomes aware of itself — while continuing to experiment with music as an event-based system and performance as the medium that realizes that structure.
Works have been performed at the Tongyeong International Music Festival, Yeongwol Contemporary Music Festival, IDEA IWYC, and the Daegu International Contemporary Music Festival by ensembles including Klangforum Wien, ensemble KNM Berlin, Divertimento Ensemble, ensemble via nova, and Allié Quartet; SuperCollider-based live performances have also been presented at venues including Itaewon SCR and Euljiro Seendosi. Alongside composition, currently active in audio recording and sound design, and a founding member of Seoul Quiet Music Network and 6[;yL? Collective.
1998년 출생. 음악 자체로부터 출발해 존재의 감각, 실시간성, 공간의 작동 방식으로 확장되는 감상 경험을 지향한다. 과거의 파편들에서 시대성을 탈각시켜 현재를 재구성하는 방법론, 직접적이고 명시적인 요소들이 관람자의 인지에 끼치는 영향, 그리고 작품의 자기참조적 구조에 주목하며, 음악을 사건 단위의 체계로 구성하고 공연을 그 구조를 실현하는 매개체로 다루는 실험을 이어오고 있다.
통영국제음악제, 영월현대음악제, IDEA IWYC, 대구국제현대음악제 등에서 Klangforum Wien, ensemble KNM Berlin, Divertimento Ensemble, ensemble via nova, Allié Quartet 등에 의해 연주되었으며, 이태원 SCR, 을지로 신도시 등에서는 SuperCollider 기반의 라이브 공연을 선보였다. 현재는 작곡과 더불어 오디오 녹음 및 사운드 디자인 분야에서도 활동 중이며, Seoul Quiet Music Network와 6[;yL? Collective의 창립 멤버로서 함께하고 있다.
